Happy September,
Fall is full of events and projects here at GivingMatters.com and The Community Foundation. Check out this month's newsletter for information on an upcoming Data Transfer, grant opportunities, and special events. And don't forget to engage with GivingMatters.com on social media to let us know what YOUR organization is up to this fall!
Beth will be beginning maternity leave in the coming weeks, so make note that Laurel and Jennifer will be your primary GivingMatters.com contacts (and please be patient with their soon-to-be more crowded schedules!). Thanks for all that you do for our Middle Tennessee community,
Beth, Jennifer, and Laurel

Data Transfer is Next Week
As part of GivingMatters.com's partnership with GuideStar.org, the two websites continue to "share" data several times each year. This is intended to save Middle Tennessee nonprofits time and effort by eliminating the need for organizations to regularly update multiple profiles.
The next Data Transfer is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25. If you would like updated information from your profile to transfer to GuideStar, submit changes to GivingMatters.com by Sunday, September 22 to ensure they are published before the transfer begins. If you miss this deadline, don't worry - your information will transfer next quarter!
Only GivingMatters.com profiles that meet the following specifications will be included in this transfer of data to GuideStar:
- Organizations must have unique EINs (not shared with a fiscal agent, parent organization, etc.);
- Profiles must be complete and publicly viewable;
- Profiles must have current expiration dates (have not passed their expiration date);
- Profiles must have been updated since the May data transfer (those updated prior to that time would have been included in the last transfer)
If, for any reason, you do not want your profile information to be part of this data transfer, please notify us ASAP.
