GuideStar Introduces New "Participation Levels"
The GuideStar Exchange, a national partner of GivingMatters.com, has introduced new "Participation Levels" - moving from a seal-holder tiered system to a program with three clear levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each level asks that nonprofits share increasing amounts of information about their work (basic information, financial information, and impact information). To encourage transparency, the program has expanded its benefits so that the more information a nonprofit provides, the more benefits it receives. Read more about levels of participation here.
To save Middle Tennessee nonprofits time, GivingMatters.com shares your public-facing profile data with GuideStar several times each year. Organizations with up-to-date GivingMatters.com profiles at the time this new system went into effect automatically qualified for Silver Status because of your commitment to transparency and the information posted on your profile! Want to achieve an even higher tier? Learn how.
Profile data from GivingMatters.com updates GuideStar every 3-4 months, so continue to update your profiles at GivingMatters.com to ensure your most recent data displays across these platforms.
