Is it spring yet?
The answer is a hearty YES where we live! The thing I love about spring is Spring Cleaning! Opening windows, airing out linens, clearing out inboxes...oops! We discovered we never finished and sent the follow-up newsletter from January! Our apologies!
If you've sat back in your chair after waiting on the edge of your seat for our "big news", scoot back up! We are embarking with the Lord on a new Adventure in Military Ministry! In November of this year, we are moving back to the States after 5 years of ministry in Spain. After a short stay in Dallas, we will move on to Tennessee to open a NEW Hospitality House outside Ft. Campbell!
Fort Campbell is the 3rd largest military installation in the States. The active duty population is over 30,000 - add dependents and the number increases to over 100,000!Cadence does not yet have a presence at this strategic Army base, and the Lord is leading our family to establish a ministry there.
Wondering what happened to Korea plans?
You may recall Lanny's work on the Humphreys Project last year, which was cancelled. That, coupled with our desire to add to our family through adoption, has taken Korea out of our future plans. Lanny will remain the Field Leader of Korea ministries as long as Cadence needs him in that position, and will travel there twice a year, as he does now. But Clarksville, TN will be our next home!
Running a stateside ministry brings a new cost of living - our health insurance alone will be three times higher than our overseas policy. As a result, we will need to raise an additional $4,200 per month along with start-up funds to begin a new ministry. We trust God that where He leads, He will provide! Please pray with us for additional supporters to join our team. Consider also that you may be one answer to that prayer!
