Traveler's Corner
Cindy Schneider just returned from visiting Botswana and Zimbabwe where she saw a tremendous amount of wildlife! Cindy was kind enough to share some of her professional photos with us upon her return. We loved these lions, but it was tough to choose just one photo, so visit our Facebook page to see more!

Africa News & Events
Sanofi Pasteur is the sole global manufacturer of the Yellow Fever vaccine and they have recently experienced a delay in vaccine manufacturing, which is expected to continue into 2014. This can impact travel to Africa, depending on your destination. Please talk with your local travel health professional and plan your vaccines well in advance.
Stay slim on your next safari to South Africa! While jogging in a game reserve isn't advisable, Earth Lodge in Sabi Sabi has opened a glass walled gym allowing you to soak up incredible views while burning off a few calories! You can even enjoy a treatment afterward in their full service spa.

November 2013
I am always inspired and exhilarated upon returning from a visit to Africa. I'm fresh off the plane from Namibia, and I've been strongly reminded of what an incredible destination it is. There is amazing wildlife to observe, wonderful animal sanctuaries to visit, staggeringly beautiful landscapes, peaceful deserts, mind-blowing stargazing and fascinating cultural opportunities. It is not a country to be missed in your world adventures. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for some of my photos and check the Safari Journal Blog for my trip reports. Email me to set up some time to talk about what Namibia has to offer, or call Kim in a few weeks when she returns from her adventure honeymoon in both Namibia and South Africa. Between the two of us and others in the Africa Adventure Consultants office, we have covered a lot of ground in both Southern and East Africa recently. Don't forget that it's not too late for holiday travel! While occupancy levels are high, there are still some special spots we'd love to send you so you can enjoy a peaceful celebration with your loved ones.

Seasonal Giving
Sometimes it can feel like the holiday season is about commercialism rather than something more meaningful. We like to remember the bigger picture, and one way we do that is through charitable giving. Today we'd like to spotlight an opportunity to give to our sister charity, AfricAid, with their new crowdfunding initiative.
Crowdfunding helps your dollars go farther. If you and your family or friends donate the cost of a trip to the coffee shop or a night at the movies, something amazing can happen - small donations can equal big change! Help AfricAid send 10 Tanzanian girls into a promising future with their new crowdfunding scholarship campaign. Just follow the link to make a gift to honor a loved one this holiday season.
Spread the word to friends and family looking for something different to give this holiday season. Every dollar counts, and everyone can make an impact in a scholar's life.
Don't forget our annual AfricAid safari to Tanzania! We have two departure dates for 2014, but space is already filling up. Contact one of our safari specialists today to learn about this special safari that has an incredible cultural element that you cannot experience anywhere else.

Did You Know?
A lion's tongue is covered in rough, backward facing spines, called papillae. The tongue acts like rasp and is useful for scraping meat off bones... and for cleaning up dirty youngsters..!
