I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.

AAC on National Geographic's 'Best Tours' List for 2013

We are proud to announce that our Signature African Safari 'In Livingstone's Footsteps: The Final Journey' has been named to National Geographic's 2013 'Tours of a Lifetime' list!

During his life, David Livingstone's adventures in Africa generated enormous interest across the globe. He sought the source of the Nile, fought against the slave trade, and even mysteriously disappeared at one point - all of which made headlines from Canada to Cape Town

On our historical, award-winning safari, guests will visit important sites from Livingstone's adventures in Tanzania, including Zanzibar, where he started his last expedition, and Ujiji, where Stanley found Livingston, stating, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Stops also include Mikumi, which was a stopping point for Sussi & Chuma as they carried the explorer's body back more than 1,000 miles after his death; and Bagamoyo, the final launching point for transporting his body back to England via Zanzibar.

One warning - Sussi & Chuma did leave Livingstone's heart in Africa, and you might leave yours there as well!

We hope you can join us for one of Livingstone's Journeys this year.
