The Fine Art of Tea & Chocolate
A Tasting Experience at the Marston House Museum & Gardens March 20 - 1-3pm |
Join us on the beautiful grounds of the Marston House for savory talks and delicious tastings. Sample the exquisite flavors and blends of gourmet teas and chocolates.
Our two eloquent experts will explain the subtle distinctions and intricate varieties of tea leaves and cacao beans. Learn which blends are the most exotic, most flavorful, and best for your health. Take home the confections and blends you like best.

History Collectors exhibit series debuts
|
The SOHO curatorial team is excited to announce the opening of History Collectors: SOHO Members Share their Collections on March 20 at the Marston House. This charming exhibit will feature a beautiful collection of American hand painted porcelain, generously loaned by Carol Davis. Opening day coincides with another special event, "The Fine Art of Tea & Chocolate: A Tasting Experience," at 1pm at the museum.
This is the inaugural exhibit in our History Collectors series, which celebrates the rich and varied collections of SOHO members. SOHO would like to thank all our members for your continued support, which includes making this fascinating series possible. We look forward to sharing some of the exquisite historical artifacts and pieces of art you have collected over the years.

Donation brings Booming Legacy of a 19th-Century Civic Leader

SOHO Museums: Warner's Ranch House
|
The quest for signage identifying Warner-Carrillo Ranch House near Warner Springs has been won! The culmination of four years of effort and coordination among several entities, five historical landmark signs with arrows and mileage now direct guests to the adobe ranch house. There are two signs along Route 79, two signs to mark each entrance on San Felipe Road, and one to the east, at the intersection of San Felipe with Montezuma Valley Road. Women's History Month brings a lovely group show of works by women plein-air painters to the Marston House Museum Shop. All of the works depict Balboa Park and were painted by leading regional artists, including Scottie Brown, Pat McGeeney, Dot Renshaw, and Toni Williams.
