As we welcome in 2016, all of us at SOHO want to express our heartfelt thanks for your support and commitment to historic preservation. We're grateful for your membership and financial donations as well as your generosity with countless hours, and valuable and unique donations to the Feed Store - Antiques & Such. Thank you, too, for getting involved as preservation advocates in your communities or city. That's one important way to raise awareness among your neighbors and officials. So is opening your homes to the general public to benefit SOHO in funds, public outreach and, of course, our preservation message that hits home!

Get a head start on your spring cleaning
Donate your oldies but goodies to the
Feed Store - Antiques & Such
Your donations represent a source of funds for us which are used to sustain SOHO's own historic site the Santa Ysabel Store and the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House, which we operate for the Vista Irrigation District. Your donation becomes a contribution which ensures the continuation and growth of our work in San Diego's all important backcountry. (Read more)
Spreading the Preservation Message
We're excited to announce one of 2016's new projects: a SOHO column called "Saving San Diego," starting with this month's issue of the Downtown News. Editor Morgan Hurley invited SOHO to be part of its editorial pages every other month, as its readers are interested in all things downtown, including Balboa Park, and beyond. The column will be written by SOHO Communications Officer Ann Jarmusch, and will cover the many facets of preservation San Diegans care about. We're grateful for this opportunity to promote the importance of preservation in all our lives, hot button issues, and the status of San Diego's historic landmarks.
New Look for the New Year
With SOHO operating more sites and year round architecture and garden tours than any other organization in San Diego County, the time was right to refine our tourist literature. We recently launched an attractive new line of glossy rack cards, one for each of the five sites we operate and manage.
