11 Things to Note about the Calendar of Events Brochure
By now, you've received your 2016 Calendar of Events Brochure. As you view our exciting Chautauqua program and lineup of marquee entertainment, please also note the following:

This summer, we're excited to welcome back our most talked about Hoover show of 2015, Sons of Serendip. These "America's Got Talen" stars will combine their unique voices for a night of wonderful harmonies on Friday, Aug. 5.

As you know, admission to Lakeside requires a Daily or Season Chautauqua Pass during the summer. The 2016 admission fees are listed on the Admission Fee Schedule page of our website.

This year, we've added a Saturday Chautauqua Pass. A Saturday Chautauqua Pass for an adult is $25 if purchased on that day.  But, if purchased any other day for Saturday, or if part of a multi-day purchase which includes Saturday, the price is the Daily Chautauqua Pass rate of $21.25 per adult. A Saturday Chautauqua Pass is valid from the time it is purchased until 7 p.m. the following day.

Lakeside Staff Joins Health & Wellness Challenges
The importance of health and wellness is a movement that has spread across the country. It's also integral to our Lakeside mission and vision of nurturing mind, body and spirit.

In celebration of this and in the spirit of New Year resolutions, our Lakeside Chautauqua staff has rallied around two health and wellness challenges.

On January 25, more than 12 full-time employees committed to a healthier lifestyle and will be competing in a weight loss challenge and/or a 1 million steps challenge.

For the weight loss challenge, the staff is encouraged to eat healthier and exercise. We'll track their progress with weekly weigh-ins that will calculate the percentage of weight loss.

Clergy Renewal Scholarship Deadline Approaching
In the biblical tradition, keeping Sabbath is essential to maintaining a relationship with God. A time of renewal for clergy is energizing and an important part of maintaining the commitment, passion and skills to focus on Ministry.

Lakeside believes that the Ohio United Methodist Clergy Renewal Scholarship deepens the spiritual lives of clergy, encouraging reflection, rest, renewal and clarity for life and work.

The scholarship provides up to four overnight stays at the Fountain Inn or Hotel Lakeside. It is awarded twice per calendar year. The scholarship deadline is October 10 and February 1.

"State of Lakeside" Gatherings Planned for March & April
Lakeside is planning a series of "State of Lakeside" Address gatherings around Florida and Ohio during the months of March and April.

At each gathering, Lakeside Chautauqua President/CEO Kevin Sibbring will meet with Lakesiders, give an overview of the past year, provide an update on the work of the Pool & Wellness Community Taskforce, discuss the Endowment for Life Initiative and highlight the 2016 Chautauqua summer programs.

Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss Lakeside's future and ask questions.
