Lakeside Chautauqua
 January 2016
Valentine's Day is around the corner...
This Valentine's Day, plan something a little different for the people who are special in your life, and give a gift in honor of a loved one.

Lakeside has been a tradition for individuals and families for more than 140 years.

This special community is a place where lives are enriched, sunsets are admired, worship takes place, healing begins, marriage proposals are made, weddings are celebrated, fireworks delight, children share stories and Lakesiders engage in meaningful conversations.

By giving a gift of $20 or more to the Lakeside Fund, you're not only honoring a loved one, but helping Lakeside continue to enhance the Chautauqua experience for everyone.

Over the next few weeks, we're challenging the community to send a total of 100 Lakeside Valentine's Day cards across the country. Let the countdown begin!

Upon receipt of your donation, Lakeside will mail a special note to your loved one, as well as a Valentine's Day card. Then, we'll share where all of the Valentine's Day messages were sent.

Give a gift online today, make a donation by phone at (419) 798-4461, ext. 246 or by mail. Checks can be made payable to the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, 236 Walnut Ave., Lakeside, Ohio 43440.

If giving a gift by mail, please include your loved one's name and mailing address on a separate sheet so that we can send the Valentine's Day card before the sweet day.

A Special Wedding Celebrates Family Traditions at Lakeside
Holly Vandersommers-Brunetti vividly remembers summers with her family at their Lakeside Chautauqua cottage.

Little did she know, this meaningful family tradition would become an even bigger part of her future. On July 13, 2013, Holly married her husband, Mark Brunetti, at the Steele Memorial Bandstand gazebo.

In love with the beauty and peacefulness of the lake, Holly knew that Lakeside was the perfect location for her dream outdoor wedding.

"When I was little, I always told my mom I wanted to get married at Lakeside," Holly said. "I had kind of forgotten that. But, when we started thinking of places, we made a whole list. In the end, we chose Lakeside because of how pretty and quiet it is."

Holly and Mark did a majority of the wedding planning themselves, in collaboration with the Lakeside Chautauqua Group Sales Staff.
