Cushions & Backs Circuit Lunch & Learns - Tomorrow in Vancouver
 The Vancouver store will be hosting their Cushions & Back Circuit style Lunch & Learn on
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
(Sorry, I had some handouts delivered with Tuesday, but the wrong date: Oct 22)
The Cushion & Back Circuit style lunch & learn will also be held:
- Thursday, October 30 - North Vancouver SelfCare Store
- Thursday, November 6 - Surrey SelfCare Store

There will be 4 stations for you to examine cushions and backs. Customize your learning by examining only the ones you want to see, at the time that suits you: - Air
- Gel
- Foam
- Backs
Handouts will also be supplied and lots of participation is involved.
Parking: - Vancouver Store: Lots of free parking in the front and at the back of the store.
- North Vancouver Store: Lots of free parking around the store.
- Surrey Store: 8 parking spots in front of the store - extra parking in the lot behind the building or on the street (Caution: do not park within 10 feet of any entrance or you WILL get a ticket.)

North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre's 40th Anniversary

Congratulations to the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre who hosted a very successful and inspirational tea on Sunday, October 19 to celebrate their 40 year anniversary. Among the honorary guests were MLAs Jane Thornthwaite and Naomi Yamamoto, North Vancouver City Mayor Darrell Mussatto and North Vancouver District Counsellor Robin Hicks. Also in attendance were Brian and Mary Thirsk. Mary Thirsk was the initial coordinator of the North Shore Stroke Recovery, a role she held for 20 years. Brian was the treasurer of the Stroke Recovery Association of BC. |
