Gardens for Growth - Starts Next week, 3/5!

Grades K-5 | Thursdays 3-4pm

Do your kids like to get their hands dirty? The new Gardens for Growth after school garden club is ready to teach the next generation of fruit and veggie eaters and growers! Through fun, engaging gardening, cooking, and fitness challenges, we teach our aspiring gardeners all about growing and preparing organic, sustainable fruit and veggies while respecting the environment, as well as the importance of living a healthy, fit lifestyle. Location: Room C7 and Strandwood's garden areas.

 

Super Star Guitar Music Lessons - Starts March 16th!

Grades 2-5 | Mondays 3-4pm

Village Center for the Arts comes to Strandwood after school to teach essential guitar fundamentals. First time guitar students will learn to play popular songs and riffs, and have fun doing it! Bring your own guitar or you can rent one through Village Center. Click here for more details and registration information.

 

4th/5th Grade Stage Play - Starts 4/15 (Registration is open!)

Grades 4/5 | Wednesdays 12:30-2pm

Stage Play Drama Club has a new session for 4th / 5th graders (younger siblings will be considered upon request) starting April 15th. Class runs 12:30pm - 2pm on Wednesdays in the MU Room. Click here to register.

 

 

Strandwood PTA Executive Board 2015/2016 Needs You!

What helps to make Strandwood such a great community? Our parent volunteers, of

course! Strandwood Elementary takes great pride in its tremendous parent volunteer

support. You can really make a difference! The Nominating Committee is currently filling positions for the 2015/2016 PTA Executive Board. We ask that you consider joining the board in one of the available positions listed below:

  • Auditor
  • Assistant VP of Programs, Health, and Safety
  • Parliamentarian

We'd love to add your energy and insight to our board! The slate of nominations will be submitted by the Nominating Committee at the PTA's General Membership Meeting on March 5th.
