Please be aware of the upcoming days there will be no school. Students will have this Friday, 2/13, and Monday, 2/16, off due to Lincoln's Birthday and President's Day. 
Talent Show Registration

 

Calling all Strandwood performers! Come and show us your talent in the 2015 Strandwood Talent Show. Everyone is invited to showcase their special and unique talents with the main goal of expressing yourself and having FUN!!!


 

If you are interested in participating in this year's talent show, please fill out this registration form and place it in the PTA Basket in the school office by Friday, Feb 27th. If you are not able to download this form, there will also be some hard copies available in the office for your use.


We Need Cooks!

Do your heroes go by the names Ina, Giada or Bobby? Does your need to feed people make you think you were an Italian grandmother in another life?


 

If you answered yes to either of these questions then we want you! 
Channel your inner Julia Child and help Strandwood at the same time by volunteering for the Culinary Delights Dinner auction prize.

Winners of the auction will be treated to a monthly homemade dinner provided by our volunteers.

The last day to turn in Box Tops for February is Friday, 2/27.

Remember to turn your Box Tops in to the office with your child's first and last name, grade, and teacher's name written on the bag. 

 

Calling all Bakers

We are in need of dessert donations for the auction coming up on March 21st. If you love to bake and have a little time to give, please consider volunteering to make a dessert for the auction. 
Don't have time to bake? We would love any type of dessert donation including donations from grandparents, friends, and store-bought donations. You don't need to need to bake like Martha Stewart in order to contribute to this fantastic fundraiser.

Want to Host a Party?!


 

We need parents/families to host some sign-up parties so that we can auction them off at our annual Dinner/Dance Auction next month! We have many great ideas already lined up, and some connections. But we need more! If you are interested and can donate your time/home/services, or have any connections to those who can, PLEASE let us know! You won't be left in the dark; we can HELP. Here are just a few ideas:

Pool party

Poker party

Spa party for moms

Spa party for kids

PJ & Pancakes party for kids

Ice cream social

Cocktail party (Lemon Drops n Flip Flops, 80's Prom, Margarita Mama's, etc.)

Game night (Cards Against Humanity?)

Pirate Party

John Swett Helpers Needed

Each year, the wonderful auction committee at John Swett Elementary gathers volunteers from the John Swett parent community to come and assist the Strandwood auction committee at our auction. In return, we offer the same support to John Swett.

We are looking for 12 - 14 volunteers to help at John Swett's auction this year. If you or someone you know would be interested, please let us know. Email auction@strandwoodpta.org.
