Please join us for this month's General PTA Meeting, where we will be voting on some exciting PTA-funded school improvements! The meeting is open to all Strandwood parents and teachers, and takes place this Thursday, February 5th at 7pm in the school library. As always, free babysitting is provided. 
Sweet Tomatoes Fundraiser
Eat at Sweet Tomatoes before the PTA Meeting!

 

Sweet Tomatoes is generously donating 15% of sales on Thursday night to the class of 2016's Outdoor Ed fund! Before the PTA meeting stop by and mention Strandwood to help raise money for next year's 5th grade class!
 
When: This Thursday night, 2/5 from 5pm-8pm 
Where: Sweet Tomatoes in Pleasant Hill, 40-A Crescent Dr.
What: Mention "Strandwood" or show this flier to give 15% of your bill to Strandwood!


Calling All Cooks!

Do your heroes go by the names Ina, Giada or Bobby? Does your need to feed people make you think you were an Italian grandmother in another life?


If you answered yes to either of these questions then we want you! 
Channel your inner Julia Child and help Strandwood at the same time by volunteering for the Culinary Delights Dinner auction prize.

Winners of the auction will be treated to a monthly homemade dinner provided by our volunteers.

Healthy Fundraiser with Doorstep Farmers

 

Did you know that Doorstep Farmers is carrying out an ongoing Healthy Fundraiser with Strandwood? Instead of a fundraiser with candy bars and cookies, this fundraiser is for in-season, locally grown organic produce that is conveniently delivered right to your doorstep! Each box has a lot of variety and is customizable. You can also easily add vacation holds.

 

When you sign up for this healthy service, you support several things, including the health of your family, local agriculture, and Strandwood. Doorstep Farmers will return 5% of the revenue to Strandwood as a healthy fundraiser!

Online Spiritwear Orders

If you have placed an online spiritwear order, please send your order confirmation to vpways@strandwoodpta.org. Due to a clerical error from Spiritwear.com, we cannot match what you ordered to what we received. Please confirm your order by sending it to the above email. Thank you!  

Hearing Screening Volunteers Needed
  • When: Monday, 2/9 (8:15am to 11:30am & 12pm to 1:30pm)
  • Where: Strandwood (check in at the office)
  • What: 2 volunteers are needed between the hours of 8:15 am - 1:30pm (you can volunteer in shifts)

Mad Science Starts Tomorrow

For all those who signed up, Mad Science begins on Tuesday, February 3rd at 3:00pm in C-7, the Science Room. Please make sure that your kids go directly to the classroom after school and that they are promptly picked up. All kids that go to the Y after school will be walked over at the end of Mad Science. We are looking forward to a fun class!
