DID YOU KNOW THAT THE PLASTIC BAG BAN...

is already in effect in Martinez and certain stores in Pleasant Hill? 

Starting February 4th you will not be given plastic bags and will have to purchase paper bags if you don't bring your own reusable bags while out shopping!

Support Outdoor Education, help the environment, AND save money by purchasing one (or more) of our custom Strandwood Reusable Shopping Bags!  

Bags are for sale every Wednesday on campus for $3 each. You can also email Marcie Colbath at marcie.colbath@gmail.com to make arrangements to purchase.

Correction to Cafeteria Calendar
Friday, 1/30 is a regular school day

 

Some of the cafeteria menu calendars incorrectly have this coming Friday marked as a day off. Please be aware that THERE IS school this Friday, January 30th. Thank you. 
Read and Dream Logs Due Friday

This month's Read and Dream logs are due this Friday, January 30th. Please have your completed logs turned in to your child's teacher or the dedicated box in the office by 3pm. Thank you very much.

Volunteers Needed for Hearing Screenings this Monday
We need help on Monday, February 2nd


 

  • When: Monday, 2/9 (8:15am to 11:30am & 12pm to 1:30pm)
  • Where: Strandwood (check in at the office)
  • What: 2 volunteers are needed between the hours of 8:15 am - 1:30pm (you can volunteer in shifts)

Class starts next week!

The Yoga for Kids after-school program starts next week! Classes are designed to engage junior yogis through postures perfect for kids. Increase focus & flexibility and gain greater self esteem through fitness for mind & body.

 

  • Dates:                   2/2 - 3/23 (no session on school holidays)
  • Day:                      Mondays
  • Grade:                   2nd-5th
  • Time:                     3-4pm

  • Fee:                       $115 + $15 lab fee (includes yoga mat)
