Nutcracker Closet Returns
The Nutcracker Closet was a great success again this year. We received lots of donations and many families were able to borrow needed items. If you did borrow something from the closet please launder the item, if appropriate, and return it to the Nutcracker Closet collection box outside the MUR. If you have items you would like to donate, those can also be placed in the box as well. We are collecting any items that are used for the basic costumes. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Alexandra Kemp at nutcrackercloset@strandwoodpta.org.
Nutcracker Recap!

The 2014 Nutcracker was a hit! We hope that you all enjoyed the performances this year as much as we, the Nutcracker committee and volunteers, did. The kids all did such a great job and we are always so delighted to see them on stage after all the practice and work they put into the dances. Thank you again to all who volunteered this year, especially those that stepped in last minute and fulfilled several different roles, as we were quite short-handed this year.

Volunteer to help with the 2015 Nutcracker!

If you want to ensure that the Nutrcacker continues as a Strandwood tradition, please consider volunteering for the 2015 Nutcracker. We need all the help we can get and there are some longtime volunteers that are stepping down or on their way out due to their kids moving on to middle school, etc.

Please contact us to find out more about volunteering and learn what type of role(s) fits your availability, special skills, etc. No experience in dance, theater or stage-related events is necessary!

Just help in any capacity - email us: nutcracker@strandwoodpta.org.

Nutcracker DVD orders

The deadline to turn in Nutcracker DVD order forms is Friday, December 12. Order form and payment can be dropped off in the office. Click here for the order form.

Remember that past year performances going back to 2010 are still available to order as well. Just indicate it on your order form. Any questions? Contact: nutcracker@strandwoodpta.org.

Helping Homeless Children
Please consider making a donation to purchase new pajamas for homeless children. Donations can be left in the school office in an envelope labeled "Bronze Award Project: Homeless Children." Pajamas will be distributed during "Winter Nights," a week-long shelter for homeless families at The Church of Resurrection. Please make checks payable to: Girl Scout Troop 30471. Thank you very much for helping!
