Over 100 volunteers are needed to make Strandwood's 2014 Nutcracker Production a success! If you are interested in helping out and making your child's experience at Strandwood all you expect it to be and more, sign up to volunteer in one of the OPEN Nutcracker Committee positions outlined below!

DVD Sales: This position is a behind the scenes role and helps coordinate DVD orders/sales between the vendor and parent orders. Although the responsibilities of this role can be done at home and not on campus, there are times where you will need to be one campus briefly to check for new order slips in the office (mainly during the November/December months). Communication is mainly done by email, mail and phone with the vendor.

Class Dance Coordinator: Help coordinate & communicate with parents to teach K-2 dances during school hours, communicating with Strandwood teachers regarding schedule and putting the puzzle together. Class Dance Coordinator handles the large task of wrangling K-2 class dance teacher volunteers, scheduling rehearsals and "teaching" dances to volunteer teachers. Class dance practice sessions take place during school hours.

Dance Coordinator Assistant: Assist the Dance Coordinator in coordinating dance practice sessions, teaching dances to Principal dancers (before/after school) and possibly assist in teaching dances to other grade level dance teachers. These dance practice sessions take place before and after school. Shadow Dance Coordinator in hopes of taking the role over 100% in the future.

Runner Coordinator: Responsible for recruitment and management of all show runners. Runners are responsible for giving time checks to classrooms and assisting DRPs with bringing the classes to and from the stage. This person needs to be available for Dress Rehearsals 12/2, 12/4 & 12/5 (during school hours) and on show day,12/6.

Make-Up Artist: We are in need of additional make-up artists to help our current make-up artist. The make-up artists mainly help the Principal dancers prepare for their performance. Make-Up Artists need to be available for Dress Rehearsals 12/2, 12/4 & 12/5 (during school hours) and all day on December 6 (Day of Show).
