Bottles and Cans Fundraiser and

Ice-Cream Social Competition

To help raise funds for next years 5th grade Outdoor Education program please donate all your California Redemption Value (CRV) bottles and cans.

Are you ready for a little friendly competition!?

This Friday, Februay 7th, marks the start of the month-long Ice-Cream Social Competion. The class that brings in the most bottles & cans for the month of February will win an ice-cream social!

On the two Friday MORNINGS listed below students can drop off CRV-eligible bottles and cans to the front or back of school. Please remember to write your child's teacher's name clearly on the bag so their class gets credit.

There are two drop off locations:

The front of the school by the flag pole

The back of the school by the picnic tables

Please make sure that you follow all city and school policies regarding parking.

Please do NOT crush or collapse the plastic and aluminum.

Collection dates are the MORNINGS of February 7 and February 21.

PTA Meeting Tonight!

7pm in Library

This month's General PTA meeting will be held tonight at 7 pm in the school library. Please join us! As always, free babysitting is provided.

Auction Tickets Now on Sale!!

Auction ticket packets went home on Monday. Tickets can be purchased at www.strandwood.org or by filling out the ticket order form included in the packets and returning your check to the PTA basket in the office. This year's auction is going to be a lot of fun...you don't want to miss it!

In Need of Marquee Coordinator

Want to volunteer for a fun, flexible position at Strandwood? We are in need of a new marquee coordinator who will be available to change out the marquee messages 1-2 times per week. The time commitment per week is 30 minutes to 1 hour and volunteer must be able to complete the task during school hours. If you are interested, please contact vpcomm@strandwood.org. Thank you!
