Nutcracker is Saturday

Help Still Needed!

Sugar Plum Shoppe

We still need cookies, cupcakes, sweet treats and savory items for the 3rd Annual Sugar Plum Sweet Shoppe that is open before & after each Nutcracker performance. These can be either homemade or store-bought, just make sure items such as cookies or brownies are individually packaged and easy for us to sell at the bake sale. We hope to sell each item for $1, so please package accordingly. All items need to be brought to school by 3pm on Friday, December 6th or the morning of December 7th. Gingerbread House Contest

The Annual Gingerbread House Contest is back again this year. All houses are due no later than tomorrow, Friday, December 6th @ 3pm. Winners will be announced and houses will be displayed at the Nutcracker Performance on December 7th. Roses for Your Performer!

How special would it be to present your child with a bunch of roses after his/her Nutcracker performance? This year we will have wooden roses for sale to benefit the Outdoor Ed program for next year's 5th graders (current 4th grade class). They will be sold in bunches for $5. Please look for them at the beginning of the show (We take cash or credit cards!). Last year they sold out in all three shows so make sure to get yours early! The petals are assorted colors, made of wood, and will be a beautiful keepsake and reminder of your child's performance for years to come.

Holiday Gift Shoppe Coming Next Week!

Please consider volunteering for a shift!

Strandwood's Holiday Gift Shoppe takes place next Tuesday, December 10th through Friday, December 13th during school hours. We will be setting up shop on Monday, the 9th at 3pm. We currently need volunteers to help work the Gift Shoppe.

Please feel free to sign up for multiple shifts if your time allows. Each shift is approximately 70 minutes and you would be helping guide students through the gift shop. Below is the direct link to the Sign-Up Genius for this event:

IMPORTANT: Your child's classroom shopping time slot and budget envelopes will be coming home in their Communication Folders this week. If your child would like to participate please make sure to have them bring their completed budget envelope with cash or check made out to Strandwood PTA on their scheduled gift shop day. Students who do not bring money will remain in classroom with teacher. Remember, items as inexpensive as 25 cents will be offered, so even if your child brings in $1, he/she will be able to buy a few goodies for the holidays.

PTA General Meeting Tonight

Conference Schedule Next Week

Please ensure your child is picked up on time!

Conference schedule begins next week. Please pick up your children on time! The schedule is outlined below and runs from Monday, December 9th - Friday, December 20th.

1st - 5th grades: M, T, Th, F - 8:10am - 1:14pm

1st - 5th grades: Wed - 8:10am - 12:30pm

TK/Kindergarten: Early Friends' schedule remains the same. Late Friends are released at 1:30 pm every day.
