Hello Strandwood parents,

 

We are in desparate need for Nutcracker Dressing Room Volunteers this year!

 

Our current list of DRP Volunteers contains only 27 names, and last year we had over 60. Some of our valuable parents have moved on to other roles with the Nutcracker. If you would like to help in the dressing rooms or if you have a friend you would like to share the duties with, please contact us immediately at nutcracker@strandwood.org.  Fingerprints and TB tests must be up to date and on file no later than December 1st (if not already on file).  

 

DRP Time Committment & Duties:

 

- Must be able to attend the Dress Rehearsal for the show you are volunteering for (Dress Rehearsals take place during school hours on 12/3, 12/5 & 12/6). We would need you there by 9:30am and dress rehearsals end by 11am sharp.

- Must attend Performance Day, 12/7, for the show you are helping with.

- Must help performers with their makeup, making sure costumes are all set, and help get them to/from the stage along with the Runners' assistance.

- May need to help keep kids busy in the classroom (dressing room) while they wait for their turn to perform and until show is over (once their performance is over).

Thursday, November 14, from 6:00-7:45 pm in the MUR

• We will be discussing both dress rehearsal and performance day duties and expectations, as well as guidelines for costume and makeup application and hygiene.
