Every Monday morning Email Club members receive important information regarding upcoming events and communications from The PTA and Strandwood staff via the Roadrunner. The Roadrunner also provides links to important fliers and new items on the PTA and school websites. Pre-Order Your Nutcracker DVDs!

 

Preserve your Nutcracker memories by ordering a DVD of your child's show. Order forms can be found by clicking here or visiting the Strandwood PTA website. Place your order form with payment in the Nutcracker DVD Sales box in the office. DVD orders will also be taken at each show. 

Free Family Movie Night!

The Student Council and PTA present FREE FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!  

Strandwood students and families are invited to watch Hotel Transylvania, rated PG, on Friday, November 15th at 6:30pm in the multi-use room.  This is open to the first 200 people to sign up. To do so, please send an e-mail to movienight@strandwood.org with your child's name, grade and the total number of people attending. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Blankets, pillows or low chairs are highly encouraged. Popcorn, water and candy will be sold by the 4th grade Outdoor Ed fundraising group.

Nutcracker Seats Auction!

 

t's time to bid on the best seats in the house! For one week only we will have an online auction here: http://www.biddingforgood.com/strandwood. The auction will open NEXT Monday, November 18 at 8 am and will close Friday, November 22 at 9 pm. 
 
Up for grabs are two sets of front row seats for EACH of the three shows. Each lucky winner will get four (4) front row seats, a reserved parking spot and a basket of goodies. Plus, you can skip the line because your seats will be waiting for you!
 
Don't miss this chance to sit in the best seats in the house! Go to http://www.biddingforgood.com/strandwood beginning next week to bid! If you've never used Bidding for Good before, you'll need to set up a username and password.

Cookie Dough Arrives Today!

 

The cookie dough is coming!!! Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough will be delivered today, November 12th. Kindergardeners can pick up their orders outside their classrooms. All other orders must be picked up at the back door of the MUR after school. The product needs to be kept refrigerated so prompt pickup is necessary for the integrity of the product. Thank you!

Nutcracker Clothes Closet

 

We are starting to collect donations for the Nutcracker Clothes Closet. The Clothes Closet will be a resource for people to borrow the basic costumes needed for the Nutcracker performances. We are in need of the following items:
 
-Black sweats, pants and tops (sized for Kindergarteners) 
-Grey sweats, pants and tops (sized for 1st grade boys) 
-Black shirts (sized for 2nd grade boys) 
-Party dresses (sized for 3rd grade girls) 
-Collared dress shirts (sized for 3rd grade boys) 
-Ties (sized for 3rd grade boys)
-Red turtlenecks (sized for 4th and 5th grade boys) 
-Boys' black pants (all sizes)
-Boys' khaki pants (all sizes) 
-White turtlenecks (all sizes) 
-Black, white, pink and beige leotards (all sizes)
-Black, white and pink ballet shoes (all sizes)

Donations can be placed in the basket located in the hall outside the MUR. If you have any questions about donations, or are interested in borrowing items, please contact Alexandra Kemp at nutcrackercloset@strandwood.org.
