Pre-Order Your Nutcracker DVDs!

Preserve your Nutcracker memories by ordering a DVD of your child's show. Order forms can be found by clicking here or visiting the Strandwood PTA website. Place your order form with payment in the Nutcracker DVD Sales box in the office. DVD orders will also be taken at each show.

Library Birthday Book Club

The Library Birthday Book Club is back this year. Simply donate $15 to the Strandwood library and a new hard cover book will be given to the library in honor of your child's birthday. The book will be selected by Mrs. Burns, our library media teacher, and presented to your child during his or her library time. A custom book plate will be placed inside the book with your child's name and birthday. This is a great way to honor your son or daughter and help our school library. The form can be found on the Strandwood PTA site under "forms".

Nutcracker 2013

Nutcracker preparations and dance rehearsals are well underway for the December 7th performance! Thank you to all that have stepped up to volunteer their time in teaching dances, making costumes and coordinating many important pieces that make the Nutcracker a huge success.

Volunteer opportunities are still available for anyone that would like to be involved with this Strandwood tradition. Please email nutcracker@strandwood.org if you are interested in helping out.

Permission Slips
We are still missing some permission slips. PLEASE turn in your permission slip to your child's teacher or the office (Nutcracker basket). You can obtain another copy of the permission slip from the Strandwood Website / Nutcracker page or email: nutcracker@strandwood.org
Remember that children without a signed permission slip are unable to perform in the final show on December 7th.

Seating Policy
Each performer gets two "seats" to the show they are performing in. (For example, if you have one child in show 1, you get two seats for show 1. If you have two children in show 1, you get four seats for show 1). There will be a list at the door and guests may check-in under the student's name. We have very large casts this year so seating is very limited - we seat audience members based on fire code capacity for the room, not actual chairs taken (everyone must be counted, including babies and small children). Remember that we are paperless, so you will not receive actual paper tickets. Guests will just check-in at the door for each show.

Be on the lookout for Nutcracker FRONT ROW seats that will be auctioned off in November!
