Here's to another great year of FAME (Fine Arts Mini Experience)! Your kids learned so much about music, art, and culture, and we loved their enthusiasm and curiosity. They learned that the music of Star Wars was borrowed from Gustave Holst's "Planet Suite," that Modigliani's painting "Bride and Groom" does not look like their parents' wedding portrait, that one of Van Gogh's paintings sold for 53 million dollars, and that the music that sounds like galloping horses is actually from an opera in the Middle Ages, among countless other fascinating facts and ideas.
We'd like to thank all the coordinators, docents, and volunteers who made FAME possible throughout this year, and also thank the teachers and staff for their support. Thank you in particular to Mr. Wright for letting us share his music room. We look forward to another fantastic year of FAME and welcome parents who want to get involved next year.
Look for the FAME table on Jump Start Day!
