School is almost over and now is the time to stock up on your Strandwood Spiritwear so you will be ready for next year! We have reduced prices on everything in stock! Please see order form for more details. Additionally, if you come by the PTA 1/2 Door on Wednesdays (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm) or Fridays (2:30 pm to 3:30 pm), you will find even more items that are not included on the form that are we are blowing out (very limited items!). First come, first served! You may pay cash or make checks out to Strandwood PTA only.
 
NOTE: Except in color Gold, there are no Youth Medium or Large unisex tees available.

Support Our Girls on the Run

Come out and support our Strandwood "Girls on the Run" participate in their first 5k! 

The 5k is a great way to spread the message of healthy living with a wider community. The event is open to EVERYONE - strollers, dogs, babies, first-time runners, walkers, and cheerleaders are all welcome. Come out to Golden Gate Park on Saturday, May 11th to support your classmates and enjoy a fun-filled day.  
 
You can run, walk, cheer, or volunteer!

Last Chance to Sign Up for After School HoopsŪ!

 

 

After School HoopsŪ is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one-hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after-school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team.

 

Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join!

 

Day: Tuesday
Dates: 5/7 - 6/4
Weeks: 5
Cost: $55

Bike Safety Day Volunteers Needed

Bike Safety Day needs a coordinator in order for it to happen this year! If you have an interest in teaching our children proper bike safety please let us know! We need for this to occur sometime in May and the coordinator can expect plenty of volunteer support. Help us help our kids ride their bikes the correct way!

Also...the Strandwood PTA would like to implement a fun, developmental after-school basketball program and we need a coordinator for it to happen! Coaches and curriculum are already provided but we need someone to be the point person for our school. You'd be doing a great service to those kids who want to play!

Eat at La Mordida and Help Support Outdoor Ed
Entire Month of May

 

What:           Eat at La Mordida (see flyer here) and earn money for Outdoor Education.

 

When:          The ENTIRE month of MAY!!!

 

Where:         La Mordida at 607 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill

 

Why:            To support our neighbor (La Mordida) and raise money for our school!

 

Just bring this flyer or mention Strandwood when you order, and La Mordida will donate 10% of your order to Outdoor Education for the ENTIRE month of MAY!!
