Helping Hands Needed for Strandwood Programs!

Bike Safety Day needs a coordinator in order for it to happen this year! If you have an interest in teaching our children proper bike safety please let us know! We need for this to occur sometime in May and the coordinator can expect plenty of volunteer support. Help us help our kids ride their bikes the correct way!
Also...the Strandwood PTA would like to implement a fun, developmental after-school basketball program and we need a coordinator for it to happen! Coaches and curriculum are already provided but we need someone to be the point person for our school. You'd be doing a great service to those kids who want to play!

Eat at La Mordida & Help Support Outdoor Education

What: Eat at La Mordida (see flyer here) and earn money for Outdoor Education.
When: The ENTIRE month of MAY!!!
Where: La Mordida at 607 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill
Why: To support our neighbor (La Mordida) and raise money for our school!
Just bring this flyer or mention Strandwood when you order, and La Mordida will donate 10% of your order to Outdoor Education for the ENTIRE month of MAY!!

After School HoopsŪ at Strandwood
|
After School HoopsŪ is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one-hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after-school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team.
Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join!

Please join us tonight for the General PTA Meeting from 7 pm - 9 pm in the Library. We have many important topics to discuss and need volunteers in order for important programs to continue at Strandwood! Whether you have been to a meeting before or are a newcomer, we welcome you to come and join in the conversation! As always, babysitting is provided for free!
