Every Monday Email Club members receive important information regarding upcoming events and communications from The PTA and Strandwood staff via the Roadrunner. The Roadrunner also provides links to important flyers and new items on the PTA and school websites. Auction Ticket Sales
Are you still waiting to buy your tickets for the auction this coming Saturday? Surprisingly, we still have tickets to sell at this point and don't want you to miss your chance to be a part of this special night for our Strandwood community. Tickets are available online at strandwood.org, or by check if you would prefer to pay in person in the office. Just leave your ticket form and payment of $65 in the Auction basket.
For those who already have their tickets, look for your catalogs to magically appear on your doorstep by Wednesday of this week!! This will act as your ticket so bring it with you to the auction. If you don't receive your catalog, please contact Jessie Thomas at jandbthomas@yahoo.com. Online Bidding Our online auction will be ending this Wednesday for Strandwood items, including teacher experiences, class projects, Strandwood-only items and grade level items. All other items will come to a close on Thursday. Please don't delay getting your bids ready to go. Each category closes at different times, so make sure to check those times in order to get your bids in.
Some items are "Buy it Now", such as Mrs. Kim's Movie Night and Dinner. Available to the first 15 kids, you can buy it right now if you go online. This is guaranteed to be a fun and special night for your kids! Raffle Tickets Raffle ticket order forms went home last week. There are some great prizes to be had, including a Kate Spade purse, Schwinn Cruiser and iPad mini! Don't delay sending those order forms in. Upper Grade Book Swap This Friday
|
Attention parents of 3rd through 5th graders!
The Upper Grade Book Swap is Friday! Books will be collected this week from today, Feb. 25th through Thursday, Feb. 28th. The swap is an annual tradition at Strandwood that encourages reading. All third through fifth graders will get a coupon for one book. To earn additional coupons, students in grades 3-5 can bring books they want to swap to their classroom this week, from Feb. 25 - Feb. 28 only. Strandwood Movie Night!
 Join us for a night of family fun watching the hit adventure that is delighting families all across the country - Wreck it Ralph. A FREE movie night for Strandwood families will be held on Friday, March 15 at 6:15 pm in the multi-use room. For a complete movie viewing experience, the Cub Scouts of Pack 282 will be selling snacks. Space is limited to the first 225 people that sign up via e-mail at strandwoodmovie@gmail.com. Please include the number in your party and the name of your oldest Strandwood child in your e-mail. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Book Fair Needs You!

The Book Fair is coming in March and we are seeking volunteers. This is an event that brings to school a wonderful selection of fun, engaging, and affordable books kids want to read. The more kids practice reading, the better they'll get. If you can help us in the library during the fair, please contact Emily Ludlow ( ludlowemily@gmail.com) or Lizzy Peters ( lizzy.peters@sbcglobal.net).
