Nutcracker Ticket Auction LIVE NOW!
November 12th - 16th

Strandwood PTA is excited to announce our annual Nutcracker Ticket Auction. Starting now, you will be able to bid on the most valuable real estate that we have to offer - Front and Second Row seats at the Nutcracker Performance! Remember, each Nutcracker performer receives only TWO SEATS for his/her show. Due to the record number of students participating in this year's production and very limited seating in the Multi-Use Room (determined by the Fire Code) we have NO extra tickets to distribute.

We know that everyone wants to see this darling production, so no need to worry....we have a solution! Invite the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends to attend your child's Dress Rehearsal (as listed in your Nutcracker Information Pack).

Next, go to
www.biddingforgood.com/strandwood/nutcracker and bid on the best seats in the house! Get those cameras ready!! If you are the parents of Clara or any of the other prinicpals, or if your little mouse is in the Nutcracker for the first time, you will want the best seats possible!

The auction is LIVE NOW. You will ned to register with Bidding For Good to participate, so please do that today. (You will then be ready for the Online Dinner Dance Auction come this spring, too!)

Thanks so much and good luck!

Up for auction are sets of (4) tickets, either in the first or second row, or on the aisle, and available for each show (two sets for front-row and 2 sets for second-row). Included with the tickets is a parking spot in the main parking lot, 4 cushioned seats, and a basket of goodies. Please note that if you are the winner of the auction, you will need to give up your "general admission" tickets. Please see auction website for more information.

Outdoor Ed See's Candy Holiday Fundraiser
"A pound a week is all we ask..."

See's Candy Moms Our fourth graders are selling delicious See's Candy now through November 30th to raise money for their Outdoor Ed trip in fifth grade.

All candy will be distributed at school (mid-December before break) to the students. (If you do not want the candy sent home with your child, please email Debbie Wilson at Debbie_Wilson@comcast.net.)

Please find one of those adorable 4th graders, and let them sell you some candy!! If you can't find one, please feel free to pick up an order sheet in the office or from one of the See's Ladies on the playground after school today, November 13th. You can also view all candy for sale here, and use this link to print out an order sheet.

Checks can be made payable to Strandwood PTA.

Thank you so much for your support and participation!
Help Stock the Sweet Shoppe!
As the story of the Nutcracker is told...Clara and her Nutcracker Prince enter The Land
of Sweets, greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy, where they are entertained by Spanish Chocolate,
Chinese Tea, Russian Ribbon and Arabian dances.

We need volunteers to help with Strandwood's First Annual Sugar Plum Sweet Shoppe Bake Sale and Candy Shop!

Suggested Items for the Shoppe:

  • Breakfast Breads such as pumpkin or banana
  • Gingerbread Men Cookies
  • Nutcracker Themed Cookies (mice, Clara, Nutcracker, Toy Soldier)
  • Winter Themed Cookies (snowmen, holiday trees, candy canes)
  • Holiday Decorated Rice Crispy Treats
  • Candy Canes and Ribbon Candy
  • Almond Rocca Candy
  • Toffee and Peppermint Bark
  • "Chocolate Spoons" for coffee and Hot Cocoa
  • "Marshmallow Snowmen" on a stick
Be creative and have fun! All items need to be individually wrapped and appropriately proportioned for sale, and brought to school by 3pm on Friday, November 30th, or Saturday morning, December 1st.

All proceeds from the sale of these items will help to contribute to future stage and set decorations, and help update costumes. Let's keep the Nutcracker a Strandwood tradition for years to come!

Please contact Melaine Huth at MelainePH@sbcglobal.net or Gena Scalise Terrel at
scalise_gina@yahoo.com if you are available to help.
