Bishop Mark, the Rev. Canon Mark Furlow, and the Rev. Preston Mitchell, joined the Rev. Roger Bowen for a large conference on Mission in Haiti in the capitol of Port-au-Prince. Following the conference, they are traveling to visit potential schools where we might expand our mission relationships in Haiti.

● Please pray for the soul of Dr. John T. Kelly, father of the Rev. Canon Kathy Dunagan, who died on April 3. Please keep Kathy and her family in your prayers as well. 
 
The Spring Youth Event (SYE) is coming up on April 22-24! Share the flyer with your parish. This event is for youth in grades 5-8. It will be a weekend of fun, faith, and fellowship. This year SYE will take place at Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA. The theme is "(Turn Your Faith) Inside Out", based on the recent animated movie. There will be great food, great music, and great fun! ● The South Sudanese Christian Fellowship is a nesting congregation at St. James, Roanoke, with a growing number of youth who are eligible to attend diocesan youth events. ● An invitation from Boys Home of Virginia for Residential Education Day 2016:  Come spend the day touring, learning about our programs, meeting the boys and staff, and discovering the opportunities Boys Home is opening for young men from across the country. Boys Home serves boys ages 6-18, who come from a troubled background and need a second chance. Boys Home has been serving young men for over 100 years and we can't wait to share our story with you! The Episcopal Church is seeking representatives to serve on ecumenical dialogues and coordinating committees. Representatives can be lay or ordained, and must be committed to and have experience in ecumenism. Read more.

● The next Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) will be held at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK on July 10-14, 2017. EYE17 is being planned by the Episcopal Church in partnership with the Diocese of Oklahoma Learn more and apply to be part of the Mission Planning Team
 
● Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael Curry addressed the staff of The Episcopal Church and provided an update regarding an investigation into formal complaints and allegations of potential violations of personnel policies of the DFMS. Read his statement.

Throughout the Galatians 6:2 Conference, participants from six Anglican Communion provinces found that on issues of Anglican and Episcopal identity, theological education, migration, human trafficking and the environment, their commonalities outnumber their differences. Read more.
