Notes from Bishop Mark
● Spring House of Bishops Meeting in Camp Allen, Texas: Next week I travel to the Spring HoB meeting in Texas. This will be our first HoB meeting with our new Presiding Bishop, The Most Rev. Michael Curry. The state of the Anglican Communion and the recent Primates meeting will be among the many items in our busy week-long agenda. (There will be no "Notes" from me next week.) ● Bishop's Lenten Reflection from the beginning of Lent can be found by clicking here. ● Clergy Lenten Quiet Day is tomorrow ~ March 3, 2016, at St. John's, Roanoke: We will gather at 9 AM at St. John's, Roanoke, and begin Meditation at 9:30 AM, followed by quiet time. Holy Eucharist, the Renewal of Vows, and the Blessing of Chrism will follow at 11 AM. Lunch will be at noon.

● Visitations and Other Events: On the Third Sunday in Lent, I worshipped with the people of St. Elizabeth's, Roanoke. There were two confirmations and a reception, and the new ministry of the The Rev. Canon Jonathan Harris was celebrated. (Click the red link to see more photos on Facebook.)This Sunday I will visit St. James', Roanoke, including being with the Sudanese congregation in the evening.

● Pastoral Concerns: --Donnie Wheatley, the Director of Boys Home, is now home after successful bypass surgery. Please pray for his healing and a full recovery.
--The Rev. Richard Fife will have a heart procedure next week in Charlottesville. Keep him and Jenny in your prayers.
