InfoGeneral Information
Thank you for your ministry of service to our diocese. The work of lay and clergy delegates, as well as alternates, begins with attending a regional gathering in one of the five convocations of the diocese. (See dates and times below.)

You can download materials related to the meeting here. The information included, such as the budget and resolutions passed by Council, may prove helpful throughout the year. Please review the packet prior to your convocation's meeting in order to be prepared. Printed booklets will not be provided at the meeting.

Should you have any questions, you'll find contact information for Deans and Presidents, as well as for members of the Executive Board, Standing Committee, and other persons in diocesan leadership positions, included in your convocation materials.
TellTell Your Parish
Please be sure to invite members of your parish to all of the convocation meetings throughout the year. These spring convocation meetings were originally requested by parishioners to build fellowship and spread the word about the ministries going on around the diocese.

Take your information and experience back to your parish and help them feel connected to others in the diocese. Getting the word out using a variety of methods engages the most people. You know your parish--use what will work for you! Here are a few examples that you might try:
    • Visit the vestry and summarize the main points of the agenda
    • Write a report for the parish newsletter
    • Speak during the announcement time at a worship service
    • Talk to other parishioners during coffee hour
    • Send a report to parishioners via email
    • Post materials on a bulletin board.
In the fall, you will be electing, or nominating for election at Council, candidates for leadership positions. These need not be delegates or alternates! Consider who in your parish might have a skill set or interest suited to these roles, and ask if s/he might be interested in learning more. Let your convocation president know about these potential new leaders to better prepare for the fall meeting.
