January 2013 Convocation Meeting Clergy and Lay Delegates and Alternates are all asked to attend the January convocation meetings in advance of Council 2013. Others are welcome to attend as well.
These meetings are scheduled for Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the times and places listed at the right. Here are the files with the information for your meeting: - Complete January 2013 Convocation booklet. Printed copies will be available at the meeting. It is important that you bring this booklet with you to Council, along with the booklets you received at the spring and fall 2012 convocation meetings.

Council 2013 Reminders
Please remember that online registration for Council 2013, for the early-bird price, closes on January 15, 2013. If you have not registered by that date, plan to register on-site at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center when you come to Council. Be prepared to pay the full cost of $155 at that time.
Please remember to bring your January 2013 booklet and your spring and fall 2012 booklets to Council! The three booklets contain most of the information you will need for the weekend's activities and business. If you've lost your spring or fall booklet, you can download a copy from the Governance - Convocations section of www.dioswva.org.
Please remember, too, that incidental costs, such as the cost of parking and breakfast, are not included in your Council 2013 registration fee.
Council 2013 Check-In times:
- Clergy and Spouses--Friday, January 25, from 9:30 to 10 am
- Delegates, Alternates, Visitors--Friday, January 25, from noon to 6 pm
Council business begins at 2 pm on Friday, January 25.
The Bishop's Address to Council will take place at 2:30 pm on Friday, January 25.
The Finance Committee, Resolutions Committee, and Constitution and Canons Committee will be available at an open hearing on Friday, January 25, at 4 pm.

Augusta Convocation R. E. Lee Memorial, Lexington 3-5 pm
Lynchburg Convocation Trnity-Boonsboro, Lynchburg 2:30-4:30 pm
New River Convocation Christ, Pulaski 3-5 pm
Roanoke Convocation St. Paul's, Salem 2:30-4:30 pm
As usual, in case of inclement weather, the Dean and President will decide if the meeting will be held on the snow date--Sunday, January 20.
