OBJECTIVE:

Children who can make friends, talk about feelings, and ask adults for help, not only contribute to making families stronger but also build a solid foundation to become thriving adults.  In recent years our understanding has expanded about the very real connection of the power of safe, stable and nurturing relationships to brain development and its role in building socially and emotionally competent children and the power it has to mitigate toxic stress.

The 2015 Strengthening Families Summit will explore this connection between relationships, children's social and emotional competence, and the prevention of child abuse and neglect.   This latest summit - exploring yet another facet of the power of the Strengthening Families Framework for the children and families of New Hampshire - promises to be an enriching day for all professionals who work with children and families.

"We've picked both presenters because they were highly recommended as energetic and specialists in the field.  They both come with years of experience and stories to share."      Julie Day, Strengthening Families Director
