Try a new craft, for a cause!

Every year, thousands of infants are shaken and abused at the hands of a frustrated parent or caregiver - And, you can help us prevent this from happening by making purple-colored infant hats!

To educate parents and caregivers about normal infant crying and reduce frustration, the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome (NCSBS) is partnering with knitters and crocheters throughout North America (New Hampshire included!) to make purple-colored baby hats.

The purple hats are delivered to parents of newborn babies during November and December with the Period of PURPLE Crying educational program. The hats reinforce PURPLE's message, reminding parents of their plan for frustrating times.
