NH Children's Trust welcomes 4 new members to board of directors
Jessica Wohlers Barlow, 
Windham

Jessica is originally from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, but has made New Hampshire her home since 1980.  Jessica has been in the high tech industry for twenty years, specializing in launching start-up companies and strengthening technology partnerships.  Throughout her career, Jessica has been recognized for her contributions and was named one of the Top 10 Most Powerful Women in the Channel by CRN magazine.  Jessica has been with IBM for the last five years and is currently focused on creating new business channels for IBM in the Northeast.  Jessica's first love has always been children and she began her professional career in 1992 in Child Protective Services.  She is honored by the opportunity to serve on the New Hampshire Children's Trust Board of Directors and looks forward to applying her business acumen to help protect children and strengthen families in New Hampshire.  Jessica lives in Windham, NH with her husband David and their daughter Sarah Arden. 

Sarah Fox, JD, 
Sanbornton
Sarah grew up in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and still calls it home.  She earned a degree in elementary education from Boston University, and early in her career taught in Ecuador, Inter-lakes Elementary School and as a child care director.  During this time, she served as a CASA volunteer, providing a voice for abused/neglected children in court.  The experience inspired her to pursue a career in child advocacy and she went to University of New Hampshire School of Law where she graduated with a JD and a Masters of Education Law.  She worked at the Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education as an Education Consultant.  From 2007 to 2011, she worked as the the Court Improvement Project Training Specialist for the Family Division and she currently serves as the Circuit Court Coordinator.   Sarah is a 2012 graduate of Leadership New Hampshire.  She has been a foster mother to three great children - an experience which has proved to be her most challenging and rewarding endeavor.
Mary Jane Keane, Rye
Mary Jane Keane Mary Jane was raised in Portsmouth, NH, and returned to her hometown after attending college in New York. She resides in Rye, NH with her husband Tom, an attorney with Keane and Macdonald. Mary Jane and Tom have four sons and two grandchildren with the third coming soon. Mary Jane is the founder of Womenade of Greater Squamscott and has served as President of the Board of Directors since its inception in 2005. Her additional volunteer interests include Families First in the Family Support Center, driving for Transportaton for Seacoast Citizens (TASC) and assisting with the Development of The Woodman Museum in Dover, NH. Her greatest joys are spending time with her husband, sons, grandchildren and friends. Her hobbies include mastering paddle boarding, climbing mountains or earning a decent score in a round of golf.
Stacey Savage
Stacey Savage, RN, BSN, CPEN, Wolfeboro

Born and raised in Abington, Massachusetts, Stacey moved to Wolfeboro, NH in 1999 with her husband. She has three children and two grandchildren. Stacey became a nurse in 1997 and has primarily worked in Emergency Nursing.  Having been on the Board of the NH Emergency Nurses Association since 2009, she served as President in 2012-2013.  Stacey has been active in advocacy work for emergency care as well as mental health.

New Hampshire Children's Trust is the state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA). PCAA has chapters in every state. NH Children's Trust advances its mission of leading the drive to eliminate child abuse and neglect by promoting universal prevention programs with the general population, and secondary prevention strategies targeted to individuals or families where there is a higher risk of maltreatment.  Programs are focused on young children and families, collaborative in nature and likely to have a lasting impact in the elimination of child abuse and neglect.

 

NH Children's Trust plays a key role in providing training, technical assistance, resources, evaluation and accreditation support to direct service programs. They strive to improve systems and public policies to support healthy outcomes for children.   In addition, NH Children's Trust works to engage the general public, community, business, religious and parent leaders in taking actions to eliminate child abuse and neglect in New Hampshire.
