eGathering and Maximizing Momentum Events

Preparations are underway for eGathering 2014 - Maximizing our Momentum: Sharing Stories and Outcomes, and LYRASIS is planning special events to help begin the conversation for our annual member meeting. eGathering 2014 is a free event (online and in-person) and will be held on May 15, 2014 from 1 - 4 pm ET. This year's keynote speaker is Garry Golden, Professional Futurist and Speaker. Mr. Golden is an academically trained Futurist who speaks to forward-thinking organizations about shaping society and business in the 21st century. Click here to read more about Garry Golden.

Beginning in February, we will be presenting the Maximizing Momentum Series - free events and webinars designed to open up the discussion about how libraries and cultural heritage organizations are embracing new technologies and ideas, and using those to accelerate programs and services. We are excited for these conversations and will use them to inform the program for eGathering in May. The series will kick off with the introduction of our Products and Services Spotlight, beginning in February. In addition, be sure to check out our new class, Demand Driven Acquisitions: An Overview (2/27), which has new sessions added due to high demand.

Upcoming free Maximizing Momentum Webinars include:
Going Digital (2/12 and 3/20)
Open Source Tools for Libraries (2/14)
VuFind: Community & Code (2/19)
LYRASIS Digitization Collaborative Information Session (2/20, 3/6 and 3/19)
