Better Living Show | March 22-24, 2013 | Portland Expo Center Greetings!

There is a special thrill in seeing something that you've worked so hard on receive some unique attention. Getting a letter of thanks in the mail from the US State Deptartment for working with the Fiji TV crew was pretty cool. Especially when you consider that Better Living Show was born out of a lunch conversation between 2 friends seven years and 3 babies ago!

And, we may have an opportunity to host some more international relations at the show. A team from Central Asia may be coming next. Stay tuned...

Better Living Show goes global!

Fiji TV at the Better Living Show

In collaboration with the US State Department, Fiji TV produced a show on the Greening of America in 2011. Many interviews were taped at the Better Living Show. As the largest sustainable living show in the Northwest, the event made an ideal location for producers from Fiji TV to cover a broad range of green topics from one central location. And, of course, with Portland's position as the greenest city in the U.S., we were a natural spot to locate this show!

Even though the Better Living Show is a regional event, this is just one example of how we have a global impact. The final piece aired all over the Pacific region. Watch the video. We are grateful to the exhibitors and friends of the show that were featured in "The Greening of America."

Consumer Shows -- the original social media!

"90% of word-of-mouth conversations about brands take place offline, primarily face-to-face... These conversations bring with them greater credibility, a greater desire to share with others, and a great likelihood to purchase the products being discussed than conversations that take place online."*
