The Women's Fund of Central Ohio is a public foundation that transforms the lives of women and girls by mobilizing the collective power and passion of all women working together. The Women's Fund creates gender equality and influence in the community by looking through a gender lens. Their work is guided by their research, which influences their partnerships, grant making, and advocacy efforts. They strongly believe, and research shows, that empowering women and girls impacts entire families and uplifts entire communities, creating lasting social change in central Ohio.

Wellness Tip

We recently had a 'hands only CPR' lunch & learn from the American Heart Association. We walked away very informed and everyone agreed that this three minute video was excellent in conveying the signs of a heart attack. Take a look!

"The definition of "right talent" is specific and unique to every business; every company must specify that for themselves. Once it's defined, never settle. The value the right person brings to your company will always outweigh the time, money and effort it took to find them."

Dear Santa

By Chris Cochran, Director

Dear Santa,
I want a new job. Got one for me?
Sincerely,
Brad

Dear Brad,
Your cover letter is weak in that it doesn't tell me anything about your knowledge of the North Pole or that you have any passion for what we do here. Your resume doesn't align with the skills we're seeking in our workshop and you don't have any of the elf certifications that we clearly state are needed to be given consideration. I went on LinkedIn to see what you've done with your profile and what I saw there didn't match up with what you put on your resume. I even checked it twice - odd. I can appreciate the samples of your work that you shared, but it looks like you're claiming to have done that classic Norelco work yourself. I find it highly suspect considering how long ago that work was done and knowing that it took a team of people to create it. This is a small planet and you just can't get away with that sort of thing. The references you've provided are completely unnecessary, by the way. I know when you've been bad or good. Your delivery of a muffin basket turned out to be off target for what I prefer - cookies and milk. Didn't your gut tell you that was a bad idea? Additionally, and I'm only saying this because I'm sure none of your friends will tell you or maybe they just didn't catch it, but...it's not spelled "Poal." If you meant "Goal," consider reaching for a new one.
Love,
Santa
