Greetings!
Success = the accomplishment of an aim or purpose the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame the correct or desired result of an attempt someone or something that is successful : a person or thing that succeeds We can all define Success in many ways. Our Mega Mixer for the 7 North County Chambers of Commerce falls under this category. It was a success in all the above, and then some, definitions. What a delight to see so many people, over 400, conversing and meeting new people. Many a new friendship was established that evening. As I walked around the exhibit, I marveled at how everyone was smiling. Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure was the perfect venue and I am sure many folks in the room will now consider this location for their events too. Island Way Grill provided us with some pretty tasty food stations and the night could not have been more perfect. Thank you to Clearwater Regional, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Tarpons Springs and Upper Tampa Bay Chambers for joining the Clearwater Beach Chamber for this occasion. Another success is the addition of Safety Harbor to the Coastal Route for the Jolley Trolley. This new route will begin on February 1st, running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is the normal coastal route for the Trolley. PSTA conducted a Ribbon Cutting which was a delight for not just Safety Harbor but for our beach visitors and local too. This new addition to the coastal route will be utilized by us all. Make sure to let your guests know they can now ride the Trolley on weekends to Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Tarpon Springs.
Here's to Success!

From Donna's Corner of the Beach...
Wow! What a Mingle! I just wanted to offer my personal thoughts on last Wednesday's 7 Chamber Mixer at the Dolphin Tale Adventure (Harborview) Center. Over 400 people excited about the growth and promise of Pinellas County came together and shared their ideas, business concepts and optimism about all that may come.
Not only were our Clearwater Beach members happy to share all that's going on here, but I had such delightful conversations with folks from Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and many other local communities. First of all, seeing so much activity in downtown Clearwater was most heartening. People want this area to continue growing and bringing others in to visit and enjoy. We still have too many empty storefronts!
And as often before, I'm so encouraged by the ambition and entrepreneurship of individuals who strive to turn their own creative ideas into successful businesses. Whether going into business for themselves or strengthening an existing business, it was clear that working long hours, handling whatever red tape was involved, reaching out to others for assistance and thinking creatively is simply part of the process. The American "can-do" attitude prevails!
Another development: Now our Jolley Trolley is starting to go to Safety Harbor as well as Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs. It's so much fun to work with people who know we're all in this together--and they choose to work together so well!
Pinellas County is the place to be to see the American Dream becoming reality over and over again! Wow! Do I love living and working here! All that and a walk on the beach at the end of the day!
With sand between my toes,
donna

CONCIERGE COMICS
Concierge Comics is a new, semi-regular newsletter posting that features actual guest occurrences as related by Gary Hidu, Lead Concierge and Les Clefs d'Or USA Society Member at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa.
John White, one of the groomsmen from the Hewlitt-Roswell wedding, walked by the Concierge Desk late Sunday morning on his way to the coffee bar for some 'joe' to "shake the cobwebs" after a night of heavy partying at the reception. As he slumped on by, I noticed something peculiar stuck to his head and pointed it out to him. Turns out he rolled into his room about 2AM and crashed in his bed, not noticing that the PM Housekeeper turn-downed his room and had placed a chocolate on the pillow which ended up melted into his temple!! With a shrug, he fingered it off his face, ate it and continued down the hall unfazed. Gary Hidu
