Featured Titles for August 2015

Welcome to the August 2015 Newsletter!
Since our last newsletter, we attended this year's 19th IPTW at Shelburne Farms in Burlington, Vermont.  Pictured first is Sarah Polzin who won the bidding at the auction for Townsend's book on Carpentry, donated by our book store, originally given by Gordon Bock to Clem Labine. The proceedings from the sale were donated to the IPTW. Next shown is a demonstration on scagliola conducted by David Hayles, who won this year's prestigious Askins Achievement award for preservation, and his business partner, Angelique Bakalyar. Finally, another demonstration is depicted in the courtyard. A wonderful event!

A note on this month's offerings: a nice run of trade pamphlets on wood and (scarce!) aluminum windows, as well as a complete 12 volume set of Radford's Cyclopedia of Construction. Enjoy our selections.
Happy browsing!
