Tri-Cities Meeting
Tennessee 811 Legislative Update
 
   The City of Johnson City is hosting a Tennessee 811 class.  This class will cover the new regulations and all changes to the Tennessee Underground Damage Prevention Act, which was signed by Governor Haslam in May of this year.  This class has only been taught in Knoxville, Memphis and Chattanooga, and we are very fortunate to have this opportunity in our area.      
 
Who should attend:
Managers, supervisors, safety personnel, anyone dealing with the liability & damages aspect and legal issues, and anyone else that might benefit from this class.

 Topics Covered:

  •   All changes to the Tennessee Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act.
  •   What is required for Positive Response, and responding to tickets in Positive Response, which is mandatory and must be done through the Positive Response System.   If departments already have this, they'll make sure employees know how to use this, know their login information, and help set others up.
  •   Explaining the D.I.R.T. Program, which is mandatory damage reporting.  The D.I.R.T. Tool / program, will only take approximately 10-15 minutes, and they will help everyone sign up.
  •   New Damage Prevention Guides will be available to you at the meeting.
  •   Answering any questions you may have.
