The Site Selection Committee meets at the Residence Inn.

The site selection committee for Academy for Teachers of Young Children met in Odessa on November 11th at the Residence Inn.  While here, the committee toured the campus of Crossroads Church which will be used as the meeting venue for the upcoming 2015 and 2016 conferences.  The group also received a brief presentation from Molly Thorn, CVB Senior Sales Manager, outlining the services the Odessa CVB will provide for each conference.  The local committee worked very hard to secure these events for Odessa.  Dates for the conferences will be July 15-17, 2015 and July 20-22, 2016, with an expected attendance of 600-800 delegates for each.

Texas USBC Mixed Bowling Tournament has chosen Odessa as their 2014 site!  Diamond Lanes, Astro Bowl, and the Odessa USBC organization played a huge role in securing this event for our city.  George Bishop, Tournament Director, was pleased to know that Odessa will be able to host the event entirely without breaks in the schedule or the help from other cities.  This event will bring approximately 750-1,200 delegates for four consecutive weekends beginning the weekend of October 17-18, and ending the weekend of November 7-8.  The Odessa CVB would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts!  It takes many people to make something this large work well, and we know our Odessa team is up to the challenge!
