Jeff Meyers, CVB Sport Specialist, was in Louisville, KY, April 22-25, for the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) Sports Event Symposium. Jeff represented Odessa as part of Team Texas, promoting Texas, and its mid-sized cities as sports convention destinations.
CVB Director, Linda Sweatt, attended the Texas Travel Industry Association's (TTIA) Annual Travel Fair, April 24-26, in Lubbock. Odessa and Midland joined forces for the event. The two shared a booth and promoted the entire Big Bend area to over 65 travel counselors. It was a great opportunity to showcase what treasures can be found in West Texas.

 The Odessa CVB will be hosting the Annual People Representing Odessa's Smiles (PROS) Luncheon, Monday, May 13, at the BarnDoor Steakhouse. This group of dedicated volunteers will enjoy a well-deserved lunch while being thanked for the hard work performed throughout the year.
The Odessa CVB will be hosting the Texas Pecos Trails Meeting, May 16, at the BarnDoor Steakhouse. Approximately 20 people will be attending from 22 Pecos Trail Counties. Guy Andrews, Odessa Economic Development Director, will be the keynote speaker. He will give an overview of all the new and exciting growth taking place in Odessa. The meeting will conclude with a tour of one of Odessa's many attractions.
