Only hours to go.....

It would appear that everyone loves a deadline. With less than than 12 hours to go, Best Practice Award nominations continue to be submitted. You can submit until midnight tonight.

As importantly, you can now make your reservations to join us Thursday, October 9th, for a great awards luncheon at the Working on the Green Sustainability Summit presented by Mosaic. Call the Streamsong Resort at (863) 428-1000 to book a room for $149 a night.

Both the Best Practice Awards and the Florida Green School Awards will be presented in conjunction with the Working on the Green Sustainability Summit presented by Mosaic in October at Streamsong Resort.

While we work on the keynote, plenary and panel presentations, we are excited to announce that Florida Trend will be our Media Sponsor for the Working on the Greens and Best Practice Awards program. Florida Trend is a fabulous magazine that reaches the state's movers and shakers with great reporting. Their upcoming December issue will have a sustainability theme. We encourage you to consider using this opportunity to position your organization in the marketplace.

Good luck to all the nominees!

PlaqueSustainable Florida Best Practice Nominations are Open!

Each year, Sustainable Florida works hard to find the best of the best. Those who are leading the way for others. Those who are balancing economic goals with environmental stewardship while caring about social impact - and succeeding.

More than 150 organizations over the last 20 years have been recognized. And what was honored years ago is now considered common business practice. In other words, we keep raising the bar.

There are several divisions and some nominees may be eligible for more than one category. Categories include:

  • Large Business
  • Small Business
  • Government
  • Non-Profit
  • Partnership
  • Green Building
  • Leadership

There is a small nomination fee of $100. Non-profits and deserving parties are eligible to apply for a waiver. Feel free to call for more information, but do it soon. Deadline

is now WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 6.
