LEARN TO SEW A JAPANESE KNOT BAG.

PREVENTING & FIXING MISTAKES!
Sat., May 25, noon-1:30 p.m., Fee: $15. Learn how to install a lifeline and correct simple mistakes like a dropped stitch. We'll learn how to "unknit" and how to determine if the stitch mount is correct. This is a hands-on class so please bring two 4" x 4" swatches to class with live stitches (i.e., on your needles): 1 in garter stitch and 1 in stockinette.

Class registration: All classes require prepayment. If participant cancels one calendar week before class, a complete refund will be given in the manner in which it was paid. This is the first in a series of 12 skill- building classes. Each month, we'll learn a different stitch pattern from Michelle Hunter's book and knit one block. Each block can be turned into a pillow, or you can continue building until you have enough blocks to make up a baby or adult blanket. In Class #1, we'll focus on the seed stitch and a herringbone- type pattern.
This class is a great intro to pattern reading. The blocks are knit in the lofty and scrumptious Simpliworsted or you can chose any of our other worsted weight yarns. Call 619-284-7684 to preregister and reserve a copy of the book.
