We're getting ready to load up and head out for a short trip this week, with concerts in Tennessee and Alabama!  These next two weeks will have us "travelin' light" before gearing up for the National Quartet Convention... the "official" kick-off to our Fall Schedule!  If you have friends in West Tennessee or Central Alabama, be sure to share this Update with them, and invite them to come out to one of our concerts this weekend!

Earlier this week, the Gospel Music Association announced the Nominees for this year's GMA Dove Awards.  We were pleasantly surprised to learn that "100 Piano Hymns" has been nominated for Instrumental Album Of The Year.

"100 Piano Hymns" is a 3-CD project Gerald recorded for Daywind Records last Summer, for retail distribution.  "The original packaging featured piano keys, with no photo of Gerald, since the focus of the project is the music...not the person playing it", Gerald says.  On Monday, Daywind Executives contacted Ben Wolfe and asked him to redesign the packaging to make the box-set more recognizable.  Ben contacted photographer, Jillian Allman, and by Wednesday, the new cover was completed and sent to the printer!

"100 Piano Hymns" features one hundred of the best known Hymns of the Church, and was recorded "piano only."  There are no other musical accompaniments on the CDs.  For more information about this project, or to order, click the photo or call (423) 586-4952.
