More than 80 Oldcastle Precast-Mansfield, Texas employees recently enjoyed a special steak luncheon to celebrate 15 years with no Lost-Time Accidents. Precast President Dave Steevens, Central Region President Brian Rhees & Regional Safety Manager Joe Malato attended to help cook, serve steaks, and offer congratulations. In addition, four members of Mansfield's Economic Development Corporation attended the event to show their support for the men and women working at Oldcastle, and to congratulate them for being exemplary and "safe" corporate members of the community.

The Prestressed/Precast Concrete Institute selected an Oldcastle Precast-Spokane project as a winner in the 2015 PCI Design Awards Program in the Best Theatre category. The winning project was the state-of-the-art Bellevue Youth Theatre, a new 12,000 sq. ft. theater built into the side of a hill where children can play on top. Oldcastle Precast provided the prestressed/precast elements for the theatre roof system. The system contains curved precast concrete beams, hollow core planks and a precast concrete exhaust dome hub that were cast off-site then lifted into place over a few weeks.
