Family Ark Receives Grant from Horseshoe Foundation!
|
 Great News! Family Ark has received a grant for $7500 to support an on-campus Learning Lab from the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County! Awards for the fall grants cycle were announced Wednesday, December 3rd at the Georgetown Optimist Club. Family Ark's Learning Lab will be used to help youth develop new skills for successful learning. During the fall grants cycle, the Horseshoe Foundation distributed $350,000 in grants to 36 local organizations. Thank you Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County!

Family Ark Meets Challenge Grant from Ogle Foundation!

Family Ark has "Raised the Roof"! Thanks to leadership gifts from The Hazel and Walter T. Bales Foundation and Laughlin Millea Hillman as well as generous community donations, Family Ark met the $10,000 goal needed to receive a $90,000 challenge grant from the Ogle Foundation! This has allowed us to install new roofs, gutters and downspouts for all our campus buildings! Thank you Ogle Foundation!

THANK YOU!! During the 2014 holiday season, Family Ark is grateful to have received generous donations from many groups and organizations! Clothing and toy donations came from Geek Squad, Humana's Women's Network Resource Group, and Manheim Louisville as well as from many individual donors. Our Lady of Perpetual Help School (Pre-K) classes donated household items, Sam's Club donated children's pajamas and Voluforms provided almost 100 filled stockings! Many thanks to all who gave so that children in our programs could have a happier, brighter holiday!

At Family Ark, we believe in second chances. A second chance for a child to find a safe, loving, compassionate home, free from abuse and neglect. A second chance for families to grow stronger and stay together when possible. A second chance for children to heal, learn and grow up happy. The Annual Fund Campaign will help us continue to give second chances. Please support this year's Campaign that ends on March 31, 2015. New Family Ark Program on Campus!
|
 Opened in December, Family Ark's new on-campus Day Reporting and Treatment Program (DRTP) provides a community based alternative to juvenile detention consistent with the standards set forth by the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI), Juvenile Probation, and the Department of Children's Services (DCS). The program includes individual education planning, life skills training, community service projects, recreational activities, evidence-based treatment, and family involvement. Admission to the program is by referral only, through Clark and Floyd Probation and DCS.

Family Ark is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Giving Hope to Families fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6:00-9:00! Angie Fenton with WHAS-11's "Great Day Live!" will return as Emcee and Todd Hildreth will again bring his magical music to our event.
