MACGREGOR SUPPORTS MUNSON CHARLEVOIX CIRCLE OF STRENGTH CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
During the month of October, MacGregor Cares will match collected donations up to $500. That amount will then be donated to Munson Charlevoix Circle of Strength Cancer Support Group!
Circle of Strength is an outreach program designed to guide and support families who have been affected with any type of cancer. They have trained volunteers assisting with education & informational resources. All donations stay locally.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Northwest Michigan Habitat is seeking volunteers to help with final touches of our Alanson Build. We have just installed the flooring
and will be starting trim soon! We are working Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-4 throughout October. We are also seeking help on Saturday, October 22 and Monday, October 24 to help paint the interior of this home. We are looking for 8-10 volunteers per shift to complete the painting. If you can't help but would like to provide lunch for these volunteers, please let us know.

CHAR-EM SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
Char-Em United Way is partnered with Char-Em ISD with a goal to improve the educational performance of students in Charlevoix ad Emmet Counties.
We are seeking motivated volunteers who have a desire to interact and connect with children. As a part of our initiative, we will be providing literacy training to anyone who wants to join. The training will be held on Friday, October 28 from 9:30am -12:30pm in Petoskey at the Red Cross Building, 2350 Mitchell Park Drive.
Volunteers have the ability to set their own schedules based on their own availability. T-shirts will be provided.

NORTH CENTRAL RECEIVES $65,000 FOR CNC SCHOLARSHIPS
The North Central Michigan College Foundation was the proud recipient of a $65,000 contribution from the Garden Party Foundation and Great Lakes Wine and Spirits. The check amount is the net earnings of The Garden Party, held on the Petoskey campus on August 14. The event benefited scholarships for North Central's CNC (Computer Numerical Controls) Machining program.
The Garden Party event was initiated by J. Lewis Cooper Family and Elizabeth and Sydney L. Ross Foundation (owners of Great Lakes Wine and Spirits) eight years ago to benefit trade and occupational programs at southeast Michigan community colleges. Now, in 2016, they added an event in Northern Michigan to benefit North Central.
