IN CELEBRATION OF NATIVE PEOPLE EXHIBITION 
The Charlevoix Circle of Arts will open its next exhibit on Friday, April 15, from 5-7pm.  The theme of this provocative new exhibition is an exciting blend of "first peoples" from around the world.  Entitled, "In Celebration of Native People" exhibits chairperson, Todd Warner, along with the committee has curated a unique collection of native artifacts that tell a story of people from cultures in Africa, Central America, South America, New Guinea and beyond.

Also represented are works from local Anishinaabe artisans that will be supported by compelling presentations by the Armchair Theater of the Circle of Arts on Sunday, May 1, from 6-8pm representing storytelling, music and dance of the Anishinaabe culture. More

LUNCHEON LECTURE PRESENTS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION PREVIEW North Central Michigan College's Luncheon Lecture will present a presidential election preview on Friday, April 15, at the Iron Horse Cafe.  Lunch begins at 11:30am and the program begins at noon.

Presidential campaigns may be overly long and too expensive, but they might be the best test of a candidate's ability to handle the job.  Three billion dollars might be spend on the 2016 race.  What should voters look for?  How should they interpret poll results:  Learn about the math of the Electoral College and the ways candidates seek to construct political narratives to influence your vote.  Scott LaDeur, Ph.D., political science instructor at North Central Michigan College, will explain how voters can prepare themselves for the long campaign ahead.

STAFFORD'S TOP OF MICHIGAN COMMUNITY MARATHON
