Have Workers in the Military?  The Four USERRA Requirements You Should Know
  
No. 1: The law applies to all employers
 
U.S. employees who take leave from work to participate in military service have the right to be reinstated to their old jobs under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Many employers, though, don't realize that the law applies to them, according to Rosanne Sattler, an attorney with Posternak, Blankstein & Lund in Boston.

  
Is This A Football Game Or Are We Talking About Health Insurance?
  
It feels like a quarterback calling out a play, 6056, 1095, 4980H - HIKE!, but employers are reporting which employees had health insurance and for how many months during the year.
  
   
 
DOT Mandated Supervisor Training
  
The FMCSA, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, requires, under 49 CFR 382.603 that supervisors of drivers who operate motor vehicles requiring a commercial driver license, take a course consisting of 60 minutes of training on the symptoms of alcohol abuse and another 60 minutes of training on the symptoms of controlled substances. The purpose of this training is to enable supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing. This regulation is a mandate for all company employees that are designated to supervise drivers.
