 2016 Election and Compliance Issues

  

Republican candidate Donald Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States, and Republicans have retained control of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Under President-elect Trump and the Republican-led houses of the U.S. Congress, it is likely that some changes will be made to the ACA and other compliance issues over the next four years.
  
 The Revised Form I-9
  
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a component of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a new version of the I-9 with an effective date of 11/14/2016. Employers can continue to use the current version, dated 3/8/2013, until January 22, 2017 when employers will be required to use the new version.

What is HR Day on the Hill? Washington State SHRM's "HR Day on the Hill" is an annual opportunity for HR professionals to educate themselves on the state legislative process and get first-hand information regarding upcoming legislation that may impact HR and business across the State.
